LIVE A LONGER AND HEALTHIER LIFE
Quality of life is what we all want. Good health helps us achieve a high quality of life

Tips for Better Health

• For building iron in your body eat plenty of spinach juice.
• Eat a bowl of oatmeal each day to lower your cholesterol.
• Drink plenty of water since it helps liver function well and your body will benefit and that will show from
your glowing skin. So also drink plenty of water before, during and after exercising.
• Breathe naturally while doing stretching exercises. Never hold your breath.
• Keep your attitude positive and smile.

Walking and Weight Loss

• To lose weight, it’s more important to walk for time than speed. Walking at a moderate pace yields
longer workouts with less soreness - - leading to more miles and more calories spent on a regular basis.
• High-intensity walks on alternate days help condition one’s system. But in a waking, weight-loss
program, it’s better to be active every day.

Tips for Better Sleep

• Try to relax before bedtime; take a walk or read a newspaper; just do something which is not stressful.
• Make sure your bedroom is well-ventilated but not too cold.
• Cut down on smoking and drinking alcohol at least two hours before bedtime.
• Avoid eating too much salt with your dinner.
• Try a teaspoon of brewer’s yeast and a tablespoon of molasses in a glass of milk.
• When you are in bed, recall the happiest experiences of your life.
• Lie on your back in bed and relax each muscle in your body.

Dealing with Snoring

• Always sleep on the side. This will help open up the airway to enable normal breathing.
• Elevate the head by placing pillows below the head or tilt the head of your bed upward atleast four
  inches.
• Avoid alcohol for at least four hours and heavy meals or snacks for three hours before retiring. Alcohol
causes the muscles to relax which obstructs air passages.
